“9If I say, “I will not mention him, or speak any more in his name,” there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I am weary with holding it in, and I cannot.” (Jeremiah 20:9)

Father, may this word from Your prophet be true of us, that Your Word would burn so hot in our hearts that we would be unable to keep it to ourselves.  No matter what opposition or resistance we may bear from the wrath of man, make us bold and unafraid of speaking Your truth in love.  As it was for Your first disciples, let it be true of us as well: “20we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:20).  Enthrall us so much with Yourself that we would not be able to keep Your truth to ourselves.
