The Lord said to Abraham, ‘Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?’ 14 Is anything too hard for the Lord?'” (Genesis 18:13)

A ninety year-old woman laughed at the thought of giving birth to a child in her old age.  But with You, all things are possible, Lord.  Is anything too hard for You?  The answer is no!  You can do all things, and none can frustrate or thwart Your sovereign purposes.  When You will that a woman give birth to a child, the laws of nature bow before Your omnipotent hand.  Comfort Your people on this day, Lord, that nothing is too hard for You.  Strengthen us with the conviction that whatever seemingly impossible thing we might seek from You, that nothing is impossible because of Your great power.
