“8He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8)

You desire mercy, Lord, not sacrifice. Forbid that we should bring to You vain religious rituals without a heart for Your glory, and for the good of our fellow man. Give us a heart, O God, that would long for justice to be done in a world full of darkness and injustice. Help us to not only do acts of mercy, but to love mercy. And grant us to grace to always walk humbly before You, realizing that You are the Potter and we are the clay. You may do with us as You please. Be pleased, Lord, to use us as agents of Your mercy, touching others with Your goodness to the praise of Your glory.
