“1 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

Dark days have come, Father, and You call us to discernment.  Help us to stand strong in a day when Your honor is scorned and godlessness abounds more and more.  Things are bound to get worse, but You have called Your Church to be a beacon of light in the darkness.  Help us to be a people set apart for Your glory, and forbid that we be conformed to the evil ways of the world.  Empower us to display the fruits of the Spirit so that others might see You and give You glory.
