15 The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food in due season.
16 You open your hand;
you satisfy the desire of every living thing. (Psalm 145:15-16)

Have mercy on us, Father, and help us to trust in Your omnipotent ability to provide for all the needs of Your flock.  By the mere opening of Your hand, You satisfy the desires of every living thing; how then You could possibly fail to meet all of our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  Teach us, Father, to wait upon You with confidence and hope.  You are good, and You do good to Your people, always.  We thank You for the Cross, which is our everlasting demonstration that You will withhold nothing good from Your people (Romans 8:32).  Grant us faith in Your ongoing goodness today, as purchased by the precious blood of Christ.
