“14 Do all things without grumbling or questioning, 15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,” (Philippians 2:14)

Father, we are in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, and You have left us here on this earth to proclaim the excellencies of You who have called us out of darkness and into Your marvelous light.  Yet we cannot be lights while our joy is found in the same things as the dark world around us.  You have called us to come out and be separate, not being conformed to this world, but being transformed by the renewing of our minds.  So renew us, Father, and grant us such deep pleasure in Your Son that we shine as lights in a dark and decaying world.
